We reserve the right to change menus or pricing at any time. Pricing is not guaranteed until we have a signed contract.Contracts
Only after we have a signed contract and full payment is a function confirmed.Deposits
25% of rental value will secure equipment provided full payment is received 30 days prior to the event. 10% deposit will secure our services for food functions provided payment is received 30 days prior. All deposits are non refundable.Final Payment
All final payments must be made in full upon receipt of final billing. A credit card authorization form is required to secure the final balance until payment is received. Final balance would include the difference between the amount paid and any additional charges incurred onsite the day of the event or after deposit is made. Payments received after 7 days from function date will be charged interest at 1.5% compounded monthly.Cancellation Policy
In the event that the function is canceled after we have received payment, we will not be able to issue a refund. Please note that we have no control over functions canceled due to weather, acts of nature, force of God, war, etc. and therefore, cannot offer refunds.Guarantees
To secure our services for an event, full payment is required. Changes can be made up to (7) days prior without penalty. Within (7) days, refunds cannot be made for lower guest counts.Liquor
Grass Shack Parties and Rentals does not have a liquor license and therefore, cannot provide alcoholic beverages at any events. Further we are not able to provide bartenders and service staff will not be able to assist guests with the service of alcoholic beverages.Extended Time
If service staff is contracted for an event or for delivery, the cost is outlined in the agreement. If for any reason, the staff stays longer, or works longer than contracted for, the client will be responsible for the cost of the additional time. Extended time is charged at double the hourly rate contracted.Tax and Service Charge
Service charge of 18% will be added to all buffet menus and food served in conjunction to a buffet menu. There is no service charge on food dropped off or picked up.Hawaii State tax of 4.166% will be added to all food, labor, service charges and miscellaneous item charges.
Buffets
Banquet buffets offer limited quantities of food. Food preparation is based on one serving per person. Additional servings may be purchased at appropriate prices. Minimum guaranteed amount for any buffet is 50 guests, unless otherwise noted.Food Safety
Our primary concern is quality and safety of the food we serve. Our Chef and many of the cooks are certified by the ServSafe® training program. Since food safety is contingent on proper temperatures during storage, preparation and service, and since we have no control of food once it leaves our control, we are unable to provide leftovers to clients should there be any. Food leftover after the 2 hour service period will be discarded.Outside Food
If additional food is brought into an event, additional tables, linen, bowls, platters, chafing dishes, utensils, etc. will need to be rented in advance to accommodate the space required. We do not bring extra items onsite, unless ordered in advance, and we do not set up, break down or remove food not provided by us.Office Time, Tastings and Site Visits
Due to the low cost of the menus, we cannot do food tastings or site visits at no charge. Food tastings can be arranged with ample advance notice at a fee starting at 250.00 Site visits by one of our management is 250.00. Travel time may apply. A reasonable amount of time for our office personnel to spend with each client is costed in to the pricing.
